Our clients found themselves in a frustrating situation. They were stuck with a second-floor bathroom with a poor layout and showing extreme signs of age—cracked tiles in the shower, an awkwardly placed sink under the slope of the ceiling, and a door that hit the toilet every time it opened. On top of all of this, our clients were trekking down two flights of stairs to do laundry, an inconvenience which they hoped to address. We had to dig deep to determine a way to add a laundry solution, while ensuring the bathroom received the necessary organizational and design enhancements it required.

Let the upgrading begin! We started with the essentials—adjust the swing of the bathroom door and relocate the sink. We even managed to expand a hall closet to accommodate a stackable washer and dryer. For design and style, our clients requested the integration of toile wallpaper in their remodel. This became the inspiration for the color pallet and fixtures.

The color palette and traditional fixtures dance harmoniously, complementing the deep soaking tub and tile work, heated floors, and a luxurious towel warmer. The built-in storage, an element from the home’s origin, adds a touch of history, while the custom tile floor becomes a canvas of artistic expression.

The small footprint of this bathroom was limited by poor design and lack of creativity. Now, our clients have a functional space that not only addresses their needs but speaks to their unique style.
